News in iOS 11

iOS 11 was publicly released September 19, and some of the changes are interesting from the perspective of accessing content. Not the least:

  • The camera app supports reading QR codes, as written about before.
  • On newer iPhones (7 and up) NFC can be used by apps to interpret NFC tag content.
  • ARKit makes it easier to develop apps for Augmented Reality.
